After a busy day building Raspberry Pi boards, we took a drive tonight to Knowlton Church and earthworks to try to get some nighttime photos with the stars behind the Norman church.
Knowlton Church was built in the 12th century on the site of a Neolithic earthwork which dates to between 3000 and 2000 BC, it is located north of Wimborne in Dorset and is approx 28 miles from Swanage (home) and takes around an hour's drive depending on the traffic.
We used a small LED torch to give additional light onto the church building for some of the photos and also to try to light the building from the inside in two of the photos.
I took the following photos on my Canon 7D Mk2 with a Samyang 14mm f/2.8 manual lens with 30-second exposures.
Andrew took the following photos on our Canon 5D Mk2 with a Zeiss 21mm f/2.8 Distagon T* ZE Series Lens manual lens.
