The end of the Google Adsense and YouTube adverts

No more youtube or google adverts

I have decided that I will no longer have any google adsense adverts on my blog or my virtual-swanage.co.uk website or on my YouTube videos via their monetise system.

In the past I have never had any complains about the videos I have uploaded to YouTube but in the past few weeks some of the newer and popular videos have had their adverts disabled pending review as YouTube say "We have not been able to confirm your commercial use rights to all the elements of your video."

Below is an example of the latest video they have decided to “review” and the email I received from YouTube.

Dear Brian Dorey,

We have not been able to confirm your commercial use rights to all the elements of your video.
We may consider your video(s) for further review provided that you verify that you are authorised to commercially use all of the elements of your content. This includes all video, images, music, video game footage and any other audio or visual elements. Learn more
Please note that YouTube reserves the right to make the final decision whether to monetise a video, and we may disable monetisation for partners who repeatedly submit ineligible videos. All videos are subject to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and may be removed from the site if they do not meet those standards.
Please submit your additional information below:

Remember that a variety of factors, such as video performance, may affect review time. We may not be able to process every submission, but we continually monitor these factors and prioritise accordingly.
Thanks,

The YouTube Team

I have responded to their requests and told them that the videos only contain video footage which I have filmed myself and don’t contain any commercial or third party video, music, images or video games but they don’t respond to the information.

The adverts only generated a very small income from the popular videos and the blog adverts only generated a few pounds every week.

Hopefully the blog and Virtual Swanage website pages will now load faster now they don’t have to load the additional Google advertising code and adverts.
